The audience for audio storytelling has never been wider. We, too, are podcast junkies and are fascinated by the unique influence of sound. Whether it's natural sound while producing video or capturing the authentic voice of a subject for a story, we use the latest recording techniques to capture sound on location or anywhere on the globe.
As trained journalists with more than 40 years of combined experience, we understand the importance of the reporting process to gather all critical information and how to edit and shape that information into the most effective form to get your message across.
Nadia has been a visual storyteller since she first picked up her mother’s Pentax K1000 and began developing photos in the basement darkroom of her childhood home in Maryland. She parlayed that love of photography into an award-winning career as a photojournalist, covering everything from presidential campaigns and the first Gulf War to quiet stories and unsung heroes in her own neighborhood. She believes everyone has a story worth telling if we’re just quiet enough to listen. While driving to assignments she would listen to NPR and became fascinated with how audio enhanced stories, whether it was the gravelly voice of a subject or the crunch of dried leaves underfoot, and that launched her expansion into multimedia. She is someone who never stops learning, and when not recording or editing a story for Alchemy MediaWorks she is usually either listening to the latest podcast or devouring another online training seminar.
As a young boy in rural New Hampshire, Chuck listened to Red Sox games on the radio and read the work of some of the best sportswriters of the day in the pages of The Boston Globe. That inspired him to pursue a career in journalism, first as a writer, then as an editor at news organizations including The Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune. What drives him are human stories. Every great story connects with the audience on an emotional level, and finding the best way to architect each story is his passion, no matter the platform. When he is not supervising the creative storytelling at Alchemy MediaWorks, Chuck can usually be found exploring scenic hiking trails in California or checking out a new band at a local club.
A freelance cameraman with 17 years of video production experience, Darren combines technical skills with a professional attitude. From the Learning Channel & Spike TV to the SyFy Channel and NBC News, Darren has worked on numerous projects spanning from entertainment, sports, documentary, corporate, commercial and news.
Matt has traveled the world filming TV shows and commercials for nearly 25 years. He has shot for HBO, ESPN, the NFL, NBA, MLB and the major networks, in addition to Fortune 500 corporations. An expert carpenter and all around handyman, when he’s not on set you can find him building his family home by hand.
A soon-to-be graduate of Drexel University's Music Industry Program, Misha has compiled a lengthy resume working in different aspects of the audio profession, including audio engineering, music production, podcast editing and live sound. His projects include editing Business Radio Shows for the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and filming and editing a music video for the single "25/8" by Philadelphia soul artist Alexi Paraschos.
Max is a practiced designer and animator who excels in brand integration. His skill set includes traditional print media, website design, e-mail and digital ads, logo design and identity development. His has a keen eye for design combined with an ability to spot industry trends and create strategic brand solutions.
Starting out in TV as a writer, producer, and director for some of your favorite networks, Diana subsequently branched out into advertising, direct response marketing, branded entertainment, and corporate videos for everything from national TV campaigns to YouTube series.
